Since the late 20th century a number of new transiting planetary bodies have been and are being added to the astrological tool kit. Among the most important and widely used of these is Chiron, a cometary body orbiting at distances from within the orbit of Saturn out to beyond the orbit of Uranus. Based on both the myth of the centaur Chiron and observations by astrologers it has become clear that Chiron has to do with healing in general and especially the healing of physical, psychological and even spiritual wounds experienced by early life. It also has to do with the concept of wholeness. Yet our understanding of Chiron seems incomplete.
Recently I have been concentrating on clarifying the symbolism of Chiron for the new book on transits on which I have been working for the last two years. In this webinar I will share with participants the fruits of my research so far. The first day will consist of a general introduction to the mythology and symbolism of Chiron, its astronomy (insofar as it affects Chiron's energies), and how Chiron interacts with other planets, the signs and the houses. The second day we will work with the charts or participants so we can share how the energies of Chiron have manifested in our lives. Throughout both days we will strive to provide both precision and clarity to our understanding of Chiron so that we and other astrologers can use it more effectively.
